What is the first anime of 2020 you have started or plan to start?

I forgot to add during my first post, but I ended up watching Code Geass: Lelouch of the Re;surrection for new years. While also finishing up my rewatching of R2. Haven't fully decided what the next series I shall start up will be just yet.

There is a new series of Madoka Magica (somehow related to the old series but not really) based on a mobile game called Magia Record (マギア・レコード); the game was kinda fun if not just an Azur Lane clone. I think it even has an English release now.
There is also a movie based on an series released two-or-so years ago called Haifuri (はいふり、通称ハイスクール・フリート) which I am planning to watch as soon as it comes out on the 18th this month.

Hmm, I hadn't heard of it until now. I'll have to looking to both of those anime series you mentioned.

Also currently airing is Eizouken ni wa Te wo Dasu na! (Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken!), directed by the legend Masaaki Yuasa. Probably my favorite new anime in years.

I'm unsure on what I plan on watching yet. I don't really keep up with seasonal anime like a lot of people. I simply don't have the patience to wait week after week for only one episode. I like to binge watch a series that I really get into. I may look into finding some BluRay rips of some '80s anime to enjoy. I found a BluRay upload of Akira a while back and watched that with my girlfriend. She ended up hating it. So I'm sure I'll end up watching those '80s anime series on my own. She has me watch Boruto with her but we usually let the filler episodes stack due to literally hating watching only one episode a week when I am watching a series.

I’ve started re-watching Ghost in the Shell: Standalone Complex, and I might continue with the slog that is watching Legend of the Galactic Heroes. Cells at work is good too
